Doggie Dilemma

I came outside to play with Echo today and I found her in this state. She found these cones in the backyard and decided they were doggie toys. She carried it around like this for some time but of course when I got the camera out she dropped it. I managed to get her to pick it up again for the picture though.

Echo has a funny habit too. Whenever there are two toys in her line of vision at once she can't decide which one to play with. She will try desperately to bring BOTH toys back to you. She has this one rag doll toy with a ball on the end and she will shove that one back far in her mouth and also retrieve the ball in the front of her mouth and bring them both back to me. She is a multi-tasking doggie I guess!

Fair Frenzy!!

Today we took Josiah to the fair. Along for the ride were Grandma and Grandpa Walker, Uncle Brent and Aunt Katie, and 2nd Cousin Suzie as well as Momma of course. Daddy stayed home to do some work and have some alone time while we were out.

It was REALLY crowded, so much so that it was hard to enjoy much of anything at the fair. Usually, I like to look around at things and have the ability to peruse various stands where things are sold and also to see the dogs in the 4H building. However, this year it was all we could do just to walk through the buildings with the booths and in the dog area we had to move with the crowd and couldn't really stop to look at the dogs. I hope to go again this coming Friday, and maybe then I can see more at the fair.

Some of the highlights of the trip though were as follows: showing Josiah the firetruck where he immediately ran to the big "TAR" (tire) of the truck and touched and looked at it quite a bit; going to the petting zoo where he got to pet a goat, a sheep, and a little baby bunny. He also got to see some little chicks as well and he particularly liked looking at the geese. I made sure to take a picture of my little pumpkin head near the huge pumpkins again this year (look back at the blog in October of 2005 for a shot of him at 3 months). And we also took him on the Carousel! I took him on one at the mall a while back and he was scared of it then, but this time he seemed to enjoy it. Grandma and Grandpa waved at him everytime he came around to where they were sitting and he smiled really big at them each time around as well.

For most of the time, he rode in the stroller, confined by the straps. But when that became too much for him, he tried walking a bit and Grandma and I held his hands as he walked. I have found that if only one hand is held that he tries to sit down to avoid going in the direction you want him to go. So the two-handed trick works because we can keep him from sitting down! Towards the end of the fair trip he was getting pretty tired and do you know what entertained him for almost an hour? Grandpa got a free sample of a Go-Tart that he chewed on the outside wrapper (with the product inside) until he chewed a hole in the top and then began to squeeze the Go-Tart out little by little. And you buy all these expensive toys, right? Well, not really...around here the toys are given to us or we get them at a great discount. :)

Lastly, we all went to dinner (away from the crowded fair) at Famous Dave's, a really yummy BBQ place nearby. In his usual style, Josiah wanted to check out the lemons that everyone had in their waters. Suzie, Brent and I had our hand at trying to get Josiah's best lemon face. My favorite is pictured below. Reorganizing the Pantry

I went to the gym to workout a little earlier than usual today for logistical reasons and so David watched the little pumpkin head for me while I was gone. Baby J took an interest in the "usually restricted" pantry and showed Daddy how to stack the cans. As you can see this was a popular activity for Josiah. David said that he kept trying to call them "blocks" or "BLAH" as Josiah calls them. He is definitely trying out new words each day. He doesn't always use the words he knows, but many times I have caught him repeating a word I have said. He loves to accomplish something new and is very proud of himself when he does.

Baby Visits Daddy's Work

Today we went to visit Daddy at work and our first stop was to meet his "foreign exchange sister, " Jee, (her quote). Josiah went around adjusting all the name tags on the cubicles and tried to rearrange some paper as well. Jee got a big kick out of Josiah's funny stutter laugh that he did when he was visiting some more of Daddy's co-workers upstairs.

Our next stop was to visit Jeff & Kathryn, the people that work right near Daddy everyday. Josiah took the liberty of inspecting their work areas as well.

Then we went to visit Corrine and attempted to reorganize her folders and such. When we went to see Valerie, she gave Josiah two matchbox cars, which was VERY popular! Valerie decided she was the winner for being the best baby entertainer! However, Stuart also gave Josiah a car as well, so he took a close second. :) Right across from Valerie, we chatted with Sylvia. Sylvia attempted to one up Vivian by offering a ball as a toy to play with, but Josiah had a death grip on the cars and told us by his actions that cars are more interesting than balls. Then we went over and saw Sandra. Sandra has a 17-month old and was happy to see another baby at work. She loved his blonde hair and blue eyes and gave him big hugs.


Lastly, we visited with Steve. Steve was popular because he gave Josiah a ride on his desk. He has this desk that can adjust from a sitting position to a standing position and so put Josiah on the desk and made it go up. Josiah had the funniest look on his face as he ascended (as you can see in the picture).

And for those of you who are very astute, you may notice a nice bruiser on his cheek. That is a boy war wound that came from when he fell on the leg of the piano. He was trying to get to me as I was teaching piano and missed. Whoops!!

Bedtime Routine

I found out pretty quickly that Josiah needs to “wind down” like his Papa at night, and so like other mothers do, I established a more regimented routine for him at night so that he knew we were getting him ready for bed. And now we have a fun routine that I think he really looks forward to. I sing, “Bath time for babies, bather bather time….” And he runs over to the bathroom door and sometimes the closet door (they look the same when closed) and waits for me to come open it. He plays in his little tub inside the bathtub (although now he has graduated to the big tub) with his Ernie, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, & Elmo floating toys as well as his bath tub letters and numbers set. He will pick up a letter and say, “Say” to me and I will sound out the letter and make it hop on the ledge of the tub and give some examples of words that start with that letter. For the numbers, I count them out on my fingers and he watches very intently. He can find his four friends (mentioned above) at any time during the bath tub play and is very delighted with himself that he can find them. He has just learned how to use the bucket for himself and likes to fill it up and dump the water out. A couple of times he got himself in the face and was surprised. For a while there, he thought it was funny to “drink” the bath water, but I quickly put a stop to that practice! Ick! Yesterday, he stood up in the bath for some reason and I said, “standing up” and he got a smile and sat down and I said, “sitting down.” Following this discovery that Mommy says things when he stood up and sat down he proceeded to do it over and over. He almost slipped though a few times and so I had to help steady him. Luckily with the plastic tub in the tub, he didn’t bonk his head or get hurt from slipping down!

After the bath, I go and get him dressed in his pajamas and then I set him down and sing, “Story time, it’s story time, story, story time!” and then he clods off down the hall to find the story books. He will sometimes get some books himself and put them on the chair where we read and he makes this cute little noise (like he does when he is hungry) to let me know that he is ready to read (like a stuttering sound…hu, hu, hu, hu, hu). I will read the books to him, but many times he won’t let me finish them and grabs for another book when I am only halfway through. He especially likes the book with lots of different shapes, objects, people, and things in it and just wants me to go through naming them over and over. If I close this one too soon, he will find it again and want to point things out to me. He finds all the balls, cats (he says “meow” to them), and cars on all the pages that have them. Our last book is always the “Goodnight Blessings” book that has little flaps to open and shut. If he is really tired, I read the first words, “It’s time for bed. It’s time to say Goodnight!” and he flips the book out of my hands and turns over to sleep. Other times, he takes all the books and throws them on the floor and then wants to read them himself down there.

When it is time to sleep, we go and visit Daddy and he gives Josiah a kiss and a goodnight cuddle, and then either Daddy or Mommy sings, “Sleeper time, Sleepy, sleeper time” very softly as we bring him to bed. Sometimes he fusses a little when going to sleep, but mostly he just cuddles up with blankie bear and blanket and nods off to dream land.

Mariners vs. the Yankees

I was listening to the classical station one day and there was an advertisment for the Mariners/Yankees games at Safeco and so I suggested to David that we go to one of them since he is such a big Yankees fan. At first, he was reluctant thinking that he couldn't get off of work to go, but then he called me 3 days later from work saying that there was someone there who was selling tickets and that he wanted to go. It had been a long time since he had seen the Yankees in person, so it was a fun outing for him! A funny thing that happened was when the seating host took our picture. I said, "Would you take our picture?" and he motioned to David and said, "Well, you are going to have to take off that hat..." and David said, "I can't." And that was the end of that! :)

It was a packed house for the game and there were a lot more Yankee fans there than I had expected. We had planned to eat food at the game knowing full well that they severely overcharge for food and drinks, but oh well. David had a $4 water and I drank my $3.75 Diet Pepsi and for small ice creams we paid $4 each. Yikes! I won't even mention how much the food cost, it was ridiculous. I think it is LAME that you can't bring in your own food when the prices are so high. Maybe it would make some competition for the vendors inside to bring down their prices a bit.


David and I had a nice date though, enjoying the game until the very last out. We came on a night where the Yankees won, so that made for a happy husband as we left! It just so happened that the night before they lost and the night after they lost, so we came on the right night!

My parents stayed at our house to watch the pumpkin head and we didn't get home until real late because we rode the bus back to David's work to where our car was parked. (I had taken the bus into the game to meet him.) We missed one of the busses by a little bit and had to wait over 20 minutes for the next one. I was really tired and should have had something to eat because I was feeling a litle sick and light headed the more we walked and stayed awake. We got to see Seattle "at night" which was a little interesting at times. When we got home, my parents had their tall coffees "to go" as they left to drive back to their place. I told them they could stay over (as it was near midnight when we got home), but they wanted to go sleep in their own bed.

Baby's First Parade

Today we went to the local parade and picnic with some new friends from our church. Josiah was infatuated with all the different floats and big trucks passing by.

Before the parade started, Daddy had him out of the stoller and he tried wandering wherever he could with a Daddy close by letting him explore his surroundings. He went and introduced himself to all the people nearby and a few times tried to cross the road as well, but was soon scooped up and brought back to the stroller where he could be confined. Later, when we went to the park for the rest of the festivities, Josiah fell asleep in the stroller and I put the seat down for him to take a quick cat nap. It wasn't the greatest of naps, but it took the edge off for him apparently because then he was able to stay awake on the ride home. While asleep though, a clown made a lion balloon for him, which was a very popular memento when we got home.

It was fun to visit with our new friends. Their names are Bill & Melissa. They have two kids aged 5 (Hailey) and 4 (Isaac). I have already asked Melissa some advice about Josiah since she has been through this age with her young ones. They also like computer games like us and so that is a fun interest we all share. They told us that they had been praying for more couples with children in their church and that we were an answer to that prayer. I am excited to find some new friends so quickly since we moved. That is an answer to my prayer!

Church Potluck

After church today we went to a potluck at the pastor's house. He and his family have this neat old house that they live in and the property has a barn and another side house for church functions. We also had church outside today because the senior center where we meet was being worked on. It was a nice day in the park and the Pastor's nephew and his band were touring around up from California and they led worship today. It was a really nice service!

After the potluck, the guys all starting getting into a water fight. One of the younger boys really wanted to do it and at first couldn't get the adult "boys" to join in. However, after David and some others got doused with some water, they were soon ready to exact revenge! Ha ha ha! Josiah thought it was all very interesting and just wandered out into the playing field to see what all the fuss was. He got a little wet himself too off and on, but the guys were nice and didn't soak him. He was used as a shield a couple of times too! All the ladies were hiding out in the side house hoping not to get wet. I ventured out though to watch Josiah and since I was new and didn't run away screaming, I didn't get too wet. Though David had to get me in the back once just for good measure! It was an anniversary gift...a wet gift at that!

Josiah had the most fun playing in the bucket of water. I got some nice shots of him doing it too. This is what he likes to do with the dog's water bowl if I would let him. We had to drag him away from the bucket to go home. He only had a short nap before the potluck, so we thought it best to get him home for a nap after all the excitement. We are thankful to have such a neat group of people to fellowship with though. It is nice to have a place to fit in so quickly after our move to the west side!

Carpenter's 3rd Anniversary

David and I recently passed the 3rd year milestone in our marriage on August, 9th. To celebrate our years together, we spent the day exploring around Seattle. My parents graciously offered to watch Josiah at our home for the day while we were gone. We parked over by the Qwest field and then walked and bussed to various locations around Seattle. Now that David works downtown, he is familiar with the bus system as well as some nice places to visit.

First, we hit the McDonalds (as it was the only place open in the morning) to get some breakfast. I had eaten at 5:30am and he hadn't had anything yet, so we figured we would then have a late lunch at a classier place. Then we went to the Westlake Center and found a place that sold Bubble Tea. We used to get Bubble Tea at this place in Olympia when we were engaged and so that brought back some good memories. We also popped into Macy's and found a pretty dress for me that was even on sale! Now I have a fancier dress to wear should I play in a recital or go to a concert or something. Then we went down to Pike Place Market and saw all the sites and wares there. We saw a couple walking by this board (pictured above) and I saw that the gal had a camera in her hand and said, "We will take your picture if you will take ours." She said, "Sure," and it turned out we had the same exact camera. This incidentally was the only picture we took as we were busy spending quality time together! For lunch we went to P.F.Changs (a Chinese place) and had some very fine cuisine for a decent price! We had wanted to try this place when they put one in at the Lynnwood Mall, but it was always really busy.

When we were walking through Pike Place, we saw this little boy (a little older than Josiah I think) that was walking with his Mom pushing his own stoller as she was holding on to it as well trying to restrain him from pushing it into someone. He looked a lot like Josiah and I could totally see him doing that in a couple of years. I am told that I too used to prefer to push my stroller rather than to ride in it.

We also went to visit the new Seattle Public Library. It is truly HUGE and has lots of resources and various features that would impress all book lovers. We found out though that we can't get cards there because we live in Pierce County rather than King. We live right near the border of the two counties. Oh well!

We had a really nice time together and I was glad I made it through (we did a lot of walking) as I had (and still have) a bit of a cold. I love my sweetheart and he loves me too! We are still newlyweds after 3 years!

Camera Shy Doggie

Today, I took Echo to get groomed for the first time. She isn't too keen on riding in the car and so I had my friend Carrie watch Josiah (he was napping) while I took doggie to the groomer.

First, I have to give you a little history about her. We were told that this gal found her and her brothers & sisters (all 9 of them) abandoned someplace as small puppies. Ever since then she grew up on the farm belonging to a couple in my parent's church, where they were taken to live until they were all adopted out to people in the community. She wasn't taken in the car at all except once to get spade. I guess we can all understand her anxiety! Our first trip with her was to take her to the vet to get a rabies shot. It was quite an adventure! I had the 25 pound baby on one side and a 35 pound dog pulling me on the other. I had to ask a nearby gentlemen to get me a cart to put Josiah in (at Petsmart) so that I could give my full attention to Echo. She didn't want to walk across the tile floor (because she slips easily) and I nearly had to drag her across it at first until she decided she could walk afterall. Needless to say, I said I would never run an errand with both dog and baby again.

When I took her to the groomer, she again got pretty anxious in the car (breathing hard and shaking) and then when I brought her in they had tile floors again. Oh boy! She wouldn't walk into the back and the gal there said, "You go ahead and go and then she will trust me and I can get her to walk back here." I thought...well, I don't think that will work, but OK! And sure enough I peeked through the window on my way out and she had to drag Echo across part of the floor at first.

They said she was a bit nervous getting groomed, but that she did OK otherwise. They put little blue earrings in her ears (they wash out with water) and a pretty kerchief around her neck. We have a very pretty girl!!

Fun in Seattle

Now that we live only 40 minutes away from the Walker Grandparents, Josiah gets to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Walker quite often. Every Wednesday, when Grandpa comes in to meet with his clergy group and when Grandma comes in to teach some lessons at her school, they have made it their routine to stop by and get their baby pumpkin fix. If Grandma comes first in her car and Grandpa isn't close behind, Josiah gets concerned. He goes to the door and says, "Da Da?" looking for him. It is very cute. They love to play with him though and I am glad they have the chance to see him at this stage.



Today we went to visit my great Aunt Gen in Seattle. Josiah tried out her piano and he gives his approval that it plays very well and is in tune! He also says that white beaded necklaces are fun to play with. He actually pulled it off her neck at one point, but she said that it comes off that way anyway, so luckily he didn't break it! Josiah had a good old time roaming around her house though. He climbed the stairs (numerous times), inspected all the rooms, laughed at himself in the big mirror upstairs, and attempted to handle all her nice things to which Mommy and Grandma had to swoop in and rescue. He especially liked the smooth rocks situated among some candles she had and those captured his attention for at least 5 minutes or so (eons in baby time!)

Josiah's newest words are "CLAW" for clock, a very clear and pronounced "WOW" (used whenever planes fly overhead or some new things comes across his path that he finds impressive), "CAW" for car along with the noise "Vrrooom" as he moves the car back and forth on the floor. He also calls most everything fun and interesting "DA DA" which tells me that he thinks his Dada is very fun and interesting! He only says "MAMA" when he is whining and wants something...so what does that say about me? No comment. Ha ha ha! He has said some other words, but not as a daily occurrence, so I will wait to record those until he says them more frequently. He understands a lot more than he says though and is able to fetch things for me and follow two part directions such as "pick up the ball and put it down the slide." He is very pleased with himself when he can do what we ask and claps for himself when we say, "good job." We have a very smart and cute pumpkin!

Future Hall of Famer

We (my Mom and I) just took Josiah to get his one-year photos done at Walmart yesterday and this was one of the cute photos we got of him. He was moving the glove at the time of the photo, so the glove and his other hand are a little blurry, but other than that I thought it was really cute. Right after this photo he threw the mitt on the floor. We have a couple of other shots that turned out great too. We are getting the picture packages back at the end of August. I can send some of the shots through email though if you would like to see them, just let me know. We can send them via email, we are just not supposed to print them out is what the lady told us.

Today, I took Josiah to the SuperMall and took him on the Carousel. I strapped him onto a horsey and held on to him as well as we went round and round and up and down. I could tell he was actually scared of the whole experience as he was shaking a bit. He is like that with new things I have found. I am sure that next time we do it though he will be all smiles as the Carousel will then be old hat for him! I also had him ride in one of those kiddie cars that rock back and forth. He liked that a lot and honked the horn many times. The most fun he had though was playing in the play area there at the mall. There were lots of kids there and they have these gigantic replicas of breakfast foods for them to crawl and climb over. There is a big bowl of cereal with blueberries, a banana (both whole and cut up), two eggs sunny side up, and two pieces of bacon. Josiah likes to climb the bacon like the big kids. However, his favorite pastime is to welcome the newcomers to the play area by either inspecting their strollers or trying to steal one of their toys. It is pretty funny really. He tried to steal some balloons, a pair of glasses, & a water bottle today. He also plays this game of running out of the play area where Mommy has to chase him, catch him, and bring him back. They don't have a gate there for some reason, so I think I had to get him around 10 times as we "played" there.

We went to the mall with a new friend of mine named Carrie (from our new church) and she bought him a balloon, which was VERY popular! I tried to pry it out of his hands before we went on the Carousel, but he refused to let me take it from him. He kept his death grip on the balloon for most of the ride until I got tired of it bonking me in the head and took it when he was distracted. Then he grabbed onto the pole of the horse for more support. I had a lot of fun chatting with Carrie at the mall today and am glad to have a new friend!

Getting to Know Echo

Josiah has this new thing where he buries himself in Echo's fur and just lays there. I think that he likes to hear her growl/bark when he puts too much weight on her, as he laughs when she makes sounds. I am so thankful that she doesn't bite him or hurt him in anyway despite Josiah's sometimes rough and tumble methods of playing with her. I have been teaching him how to be gentle and pet her nicely and he is learning slowly but surely. He tends to want to grab her mouth and/or poke at her eyes though, which isn't good and again luckily Echo is a very mellow doggie and just takes it all.










She has a new "warning bark" to let him know when he is getting close to stepping on her leg or something. She will now either do that or get up and move quickly when he comes her way. It is very cute to see them together though!

Josiah imitates Daddy by throwing Echo's ball or chew toy (about a foot in front of him) and she goes and fetches it for him. Then he proceeds to pry the ball out of her mouth and throw it again. Sometimes she won't let go and Josiah lets out a cry of frustration until she does. When they are playing this game outside sometimes Echo will get really excited and come snatch the ball out of Josiah's hand and that isn't very popular with him at all. He wants to throw it for her!

Our New Home

So...for those of you anxious to see our new home, here are some pictures. We also have a really big back yard with 2 big trees (one pine, one maple) and 3 fruit trees (plum, cherry, & apple).

We have been really enjoying our new place! You will also see pictured in the living room shot, our new piano there on the left. It was given to us from some people in my parent's church. The story of why they gave it too us is very interesting as well. Write me an email if you want to hear it.


My favorite feature of our new house though is the kitchen! There is SO much room and the appliances are top of the line. One of the first times I ran the dishwasher, I asked David, "Do you hear anything?" He said, "No, am I supposed to hear something?" I then told him that the dishwasher was running; it is so quiet!

Praise God for such a beautiful home!

Beautiful Sunsets

Lately, we have been having these beautiful sunsets and it has been fun that we have such a great view of them from our back porch.

The second one pictured was during the heat wave we had here the last few days. You might notice that there are very few clouds in the sky? Yeah...it was hot that day!

Thankfully, it is quite cool in the morning today and I am hoping it won't heat up much to give us some reprieve from the heat. My poor hubby has been losing sleep because he can't sleep when he is too hot. I think he will be pleased today as I have a method to keeping it cooler in our bedroom. I blew in a lot of cold air when it was cool this morning and then closed up the room to keep it in. Now as long as the sun doesn't heat up the room too much, then I think it will be easier for him to sleep.

We truly are thankful for such a wonderful place to live. We know that the Lord has placed us here and are looking forward to the opportunties he will bring to us in this place.

Gymnastic Josiah

Our little Josiah got himself in a jam when attempting either to climb and/or move this stool. He has this thing now where he likes to move furniture. He really likes things with wheels because they move much more easily, and so I think he has attempted to move non-wheeled things thinking they will do the same. He has done this "getting stuck in the stool" thing a couple of times now and so this time I decided to capture it on film!

Josiah recognizes a few more words now...that is he can fetch things for us like the ball, his blankie bear, and various other things. He also points to the sky whenever he hears a plane and makes a garbled sound to let us know he hears it. His favorite line sounds a little like "What's this?" though it is not that pronounced. It sounds more like one word and it is more like a whisper, but it is very cute. My parents tell me that they periodically go around the house saying, "whatsthis?" to each other just for fun.

Speaking of my parents, they have thoroughly enjoyed being in driving range of their grandson. They often have to come into Puyallup for various errands and will many times "stop by" to get some time in with the pumpkinhead. And needless to say, if it were up to them he would be dubbed the smartest baby ever as well as the cutest. It is fun to see them interact with him!

Summer Time Fun

Our friends Kim, Chris & Colton gave Josiah this pool for his birthday and today was the first day we tried it out. I could tell that at first he was pretty cold, but since it was warm outside he seemed to get used to it after a while. I brought all his bath toys outside for play in the pool. Here is he is holding up a letter trying to make it out.

I figured he was done with the pool when he started tossing his letters and toys off the side of the pool as that is what he does with his food when he is done eating. However, then later after he walked around a little, he leaned over the side of the pool trying to grab things, so I let him play a little bit more.

I dosed him in sunscreen beforehand, but he still got a little pink on his face afterward. And of course I forgot to put any on myself and ended up with some burnt shoulders! If it were up to Mr. Josiah, we would be outside all day long, but I try to limit him from getting that much exposure to the sun. I plan to take him on some outings to the park and the mall in coming days to get him out and about.

Gifts from Grandparents Carpenter

Today Josiah got a new couple of toys from the Carpenter grandparents. They got him these two wooden toys that he loves: a work bench and a train. The work bench has these balls that you pound into the top with a hammer that then come down the little ramps you see pictured and then out a hole at the end of the ramp. He doesn't quite do the pounding with the hammer yet, but prefers to put the balls on the ramp himself underneath the work bench table. He also likes to put the balls in Mommy and Daddy's hands or mouths as well and then take them back.

The train has lots of blocks to stack and again Josiah doesn't really know how to arrange them yet, but prefers to destroy things we create and/or take the blocks and tap them together. He also takes the train part with the wheels and moves it across the floor saying, "Vroom" like he does with his cars. It is very cute!

Visiting Uncle Brent

Normally I back date my entrieds to the day they happened, but since I am so behind on my posts, I am dating this for today so you all will actually will see it.

Josiah, my parents and I went up to Bothell to see my brother Brent and take him out to lunch for his "belated" birthday party. He had just arrived home from his honeymoon cruise on his real birthday and so we delayed until July 8th to celebrate instead.

Brent and his new wife Katie live in the same apartment complex where David and I started out, and so it was fun to go back to the old stomping grounds to see him. Katie was working that day, but we got to visit with her briefly when she came home later in the afternoon.

After we took Brent to Claim Jumpers, we went walking behind his place where there was a creek. Josiah had never been near running water and I put his little tootsies in there to introduce him to it. He quickly realized there were LOTS of rocks and wanted immediately to get down and pick them up. All rocks MUST be tasted to be sure they are rocks don't you know! He ended up sitting down in the water and got quite dirty, so I took off his shorts and then he proceeded to sit down in just a diaper. It was pretty funny to watch him. He was really enjoying himself though.

Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed the visit too of course and Josiah even gave a cheesy picture smile for this photo below.

Meet Our New Dog "Echo"!!

Today we got a new dog...Echo! She is a Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, Black Lab mix. We have more to say about this, but for now I must go...very LONG day today! I have lots of pictures of recent events to share though and I hope to blog them very soon, so check back in the next couple of days to see all the new stuff. We are loving our new house and I am soon to take pictures of that as well to show you all. Blessings to you!
